Where There is No Engineer (WTINE) is an initiative that gives participating students and professionals the opportunity to design creative solutions for real world development projects.
Having reviewed existing materials for promoting WTINE initiative, GKD proposed that a brand mark and identity system should form part of the project.
The brand mark is structured to reflect the engineering aspect of the competition. This also provides a modular element that can be stacked and paired with photography for various uses. The logo has been adopted for use on all WTINE communications including their website.
The modular lettering has been extended for use as content dividers inside the explanatory book and helps to create a visual language for the competition.
The general tone of voice for WTINE is positive and the focus is on improving and saving lives This positvity has been reflected through the use of a bright colour palette.
Visuals created for the book have been designed to be reusable as stand alone elements such as posters, online graphics and brochures.
